i am considering purchesing a 80gb ipod video and would like to know if i should or not?

my main issue is that as soon as i fork out £200 odd on one that a brand new one will come out the next month with a whole new bunch of cool features and regert that i hadnt waited for that one anybody know if this is going to be the case? if this so then what type of new features will the supposedly '6 gen' pod have?

i would also like to hear people's past experiences with the 80gb is it worth the money?

    thanks in advance.

I have been very happy with my purchase, I got it the first day it came out. I had bought an iPod Photo a few weeks before it was announced, and Apple let me return it for the video. I believe Steve Jobs has a presentation soon, you may want to wait until after that.

The red font is for highlighting to make things stand out not to write entire posts with :)

I just purchased myself an 80 gig iPod and I'm in love with it. It's insane the amount of music you can fit on it, and you can also buy games on itunes to play on the pod. I'd reccomend getting it.

yer they are absolutely amazing i agree with you ( i have had a go on my freinds) but i have decided that i might as well wait a month or so to find out what the new 6th gen pod is going to be like and then decide what one i want.

That is true, plus I just paid almost $350 for my 30gb iPod so I don't have much hope (or need, i guess) to get that anytime soon.

Doesn't seem so amazing after hearing the price tag. I'll get me a Xbox360 or PS3 before I would shell out $500 bucks for the iPhone when I already got a 30gb iPod that is perfectly fine.
