I used to overburn my CDs with Nero and get some extra space on my CDs, in spite of that fake threat of damaging the burner. Now I'd like to know if it's worth it using DVDs, how much more space would I gain if used? Is it advisable?
Not a good idea with either format CD or DVD's IMO. Not if it is a disk you wish to keep anyway and the space gained just isn't worth it. Most people doing DVD movies actually lower the amout burned to the DVD so they stay away from the edge where defects occur with the ink on most disk's.
Oh... great... Thnx... Now that you mention it... I've got several problems with audio CDs and in 95% of cases errors occur on last tracks... never thought about it... Thnx again bbmayo!
have done it for years on cd's, mainly audio cds which still work fine. BUT, as for DVD's (as the other guys have mentioned above) it's a no-no, most ppl under-burn as bbmayo has said. Its a shame but seems its the way it is
