Should I reburn this

As you can see, it has a very low quality score of 25, and this enormous spike a little more than halfway. That was my very first scan of it right after I burned Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria.

Here's my second scan. Sadly, the same immense spike and similar results.

Now I will ask, should I reburn this? Just for your information, I downloaded this version of VP:S. What I was wondering about these scans are how should I interpret the results? If I must, I will open my own copy of Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria, which is brand new and sealed, and make an ISO from that but if I can avoid that, I would be incredibly happy. So, is my problem just 1 error made by my burner or ISO? Just to let you know, I also have my firmware up to date and am using some 8x Taiyo yuden DVD+Rs. Plus, I highly doubt it's the medias fault since a lot of issues about failed burns even with these particular brands of disc could mostly be attributed to hardware difficulties/complications. But of course, there could be a bad batch here and there (mindless rant, my bad, lol).

EDIT: On a side note, what am I thinking? I have some cheap media like Memorex I can test the ISO with, lol. My bad everyone. I'll post the results of this new burn with Memorex and see if I could still get the same spike like in my previous scans of VP:S. Sorry for not thinking about this until now.

EDIT2: Btw, one question. Should I be using KProbe instead because I have a Lite-On burner? I heard either one is fine, but results can drastically change if you use both and compare and contrast.

On a side note, this disc quality scan I'm doing on this Memorex burn of VP:S looks simply ugly... It's on a 16x DVD+RW Memorex disc btw. Sheesh... it's so hard to go back to using bad media; especially, when I can use these disc for great everlasting archives too XD.

EDIT3: Well, here it is ladies and gentlemen. I have two very different results when using two different medias. A comparison between my Memorex 16x DVD+RW scan with my Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD+R scan of VP:S.

To newbies (a.k.a. newly registered users XD) Read up on PI/PO results if you're interested in how to read them. Unfortunately, I have lost the link where I've read about PI/PO scans... sorry -_-

So, how should I look upon these results? It seems like the major spike might not even be a huge problem because by looking at my second scan, it didn't peak as high. And, if I compare my Memorex scan with my Taiyo Yuden scans of VP:S, it seems the spike was just a hardware hiccup or something at that point. So perhaps I would simply be better off reburning one eh? Some insight and information about this would be very helpful, thanks.

Oh, here's some added info on some minor things. I burnt VP:S with my TY discs on 6x and my Memorex 16x DVD+RWs on 6x too by accident instead of 8x (but would it have even improved the result of the Memorex scan...). And btw, are my TY scans even decent o.0? I've seen some pretty nice PI/PO results posted and felt inferior laughs

Last Edit? I guess I'll reburn it from the looks of it although I am shocked by the spike. But some input would be nice XD.

Wow dude your really getting into this. Just use DVD Decrypter and forget the rest. ISO - Read, ISO - Write. It's that simple. Not trying to be a smart @ss but just burn it and see if it works if not more than likely your downloaded image is bad.

Really though DVD Decrypter is the best for PS2 games. It's all my friends and I use. As long as the image is good, the media is decent (we use verbatim), and you don't try to burn at light speed it never fails.

I've done so. Burnt it with DVD Decryptor and etc... Just a little strapped for cash on buying extra DVD+Rs at the moment which is why I was hesitant on trying to burn another copy because I have tons of stuff to back up on my comp at the moment. Also, I don't really have time to test out my burnt copy because of some personal issues at the moment. I was planning to reburn VP:S again actually, but I decided to just open my original if worse comes to worse. Thanks for the advice though.

stick with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden and scrap the Memorex.
Used DVD Decrypter to burn the image at 4X and you should be just fine. Make sure your burner has the newest firmware available for it as well.
