Shrink error Question

    DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.

    Failed to read file “D:video_TSVTS_01_4.VOB”

    Data error (cyclic redundancy check”

    Anyone know whats up with this? and is there a way around it? or am I just SOL.

    That error usually means the original is dirty, scratched, or damaged in some way and shrink can't read it. In some rare cases it could be the actual information on the disc is slightly corrupt. A dvd player will over look the slight file errors but a drive trying to rip the files will see it. Hope this helps. Try cleaning the disc well.

    If DVD Shrink still refuses to process this disc, you could try ripping it first with DVD Decrypter...

    ... then using DVD Shrink "Open Files".

    Be aware DVD Shrink might still not work from these files either.
