Shrink time

    How long should it take for DVD Shrink to encode a movie, Pan's Labryith

    well that's a matter of opinion, and has everything to do with your computer setup ect..

    90 minutes ?

    With AnyDVD in the background, my computer usually takes 12 minutes
    to write an ISO file.

    That time would be about right if you are using a Plll computer but even w/ a slow 2.4 or 2.6 Pentium CPU your times should be:
    rip to HD-12 minutes
    analysis- 2 minutes
    transcode using all of the quality settings 25-35 minutes
    write to DVD 8 minutes.

    Make sure that the Secondary IDE Channel is in DMA Mode

    I dont encode much, i mostly DL from p2p so i can live with 90 minutes
