I have a WMV clip that is about 70mb in size and I want to reduce it to about half the size. is there any tools out there that will let me achieve this? any help would be hight apprieciated. Thanks
You can use the FREE Windows Media Encoder. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx
djcsurf, that article is a little outdated, its from 2002 and since then premiere has been able to import wmv files. Thanks a lot though. Veblin, Thanks a lot! I hope this will do the trick. What I did is make a edited video with adobe premiere, then encoded to wmv, but after I did the edit with premiere I noticed it was too big for what I trying do, so hopefully this program will do the trick. btw, Have you tried it? and if so, is it easy to do and learn? Thanks for the info.
Yes, I use it quite often. I think it is easy to use but it may take some time to learn. Most Windows Media video and audio that you see on the Internet is created with that encoder program.
