Shy Channels on sat with dreambox 500s

    hi mooley, does that mean if I point my sky dish ealsewhere it's pointless, and that sky and free is all my dish can pick up?

    If your looking to pick up anything other than sky then in my opinion it's a 1m motorised dish and some type of patchable box.

    would a dreambox s do as a patchable box mooley?

    Dreambox should be fine. There are some images out there I believe that clear some packages. I don't have experience with dreambox for satellite myself though. If your going to go down the motorised dish route though there are some much better boxes out there that clear a hell of a lot ;)

    like which ones very new to this info and stuff so exploring and trying to learn as much as possible. if i got 1m motorised dish is there any certain type of attributes or properties i have to consider or should they be capable of working together?

    I don't really understand the question there, "attibutes or properties"??
    Have a google for technomate or Protek/nanoxx 9600 ip.

    maybe wrong context... as in should they work together be compatible or do i need a certain dish, motor, lnb for that box.

    Should be all compatible with each other as far as I'm aware.

    Sky Italia is down on cs, sky uk when the card change is finished will go the same guys.

    never ever pay for cs, your dealing with criminals & the sc*m of the earth - remember that if you go that route.

    Sky Italia is down due to an ECM.
    They changed the packet sizes, made it break some CAM's.
    It has nothing to do with new cards, and is already fixed on some boxes.
    Its just a software change where they found something to disrupt the boxes programming, its fixable very easy once you see whats happening.

    Rooney123 I have a 500s and i am looking for someone to help setup, i'm on the southside dublin, if any body available, i could call to them, i have a pain in my prunes trying to setup. is a cline, a connection to eircom or what?
