    Hi there,

Wonder if anyone can advise on the use of amplifiers or boosters if required. I have fitted a dbox for a friend, but he is having problems with certain channels, including SP3 and all Discovery channels. Now, when we do a signal test on say BBC1 all three seem normal ie, approx,

    ber- 0
    snr-64000
    sig 40000

.....but when the same test is conducted on a missing channel the level of 'sig' has dropped by half. Could I require an amplifier?

As an aside, I have used the box in my house for a few days and had no trouble at all, with all signals normal. I could try another image, but fails to see how this would help.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

It looks more like bad wiring or wrong channel list for that area.
