Trying to back up Simpsons hit and run. Used DVD decryptor per tutorial on this site, Sony DVD-R media, and Toshiba -R 5002 burner at 1X speed. PS2 V5. Get red border on boot. Any suggestions?

try recordnow max. make an image first an then burn that image with the same burner you made the image with. burn it at 1x. always used this method (with hit & run too). never had any problems with it. good luck ;)

I just got this fliptop and MSD a couple days ago. Tried to play a couple of PS2 CDR backups and get the same red border and freeze on boot. These were working copies with NeoKey. The originals play fine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ps...is there a tutorial for burning with RecordNow?

try using alcohol 120% it worked for me the first time i burned it works with swap magic 2.0 no need for cd loader on this one

    v7 playstation 2
swap magic 2.0 with slide card
using tdk dvd-r media with 2x write speed,
memorex dvd+r 4x write, and fuji film dvd+r2.4 write all type of media seems to work fine on my playstation except liquid video and the really cheap media that peels off when u scratch the top part of it

Just found out that ALL my copies (3 now) work fine. Didn't realize that with the Flip-Top, I had to physically push the disk down on the spindle. Thanks for all the feedback.
