    Whats up gang,

Does anyone know some good sites to buy single packs of dvd-r media or sample packs? Preferably 2x or 4x. Ritek, or Verbatim is good. But I'm willing to try some other brands also.

I'm planning on buying the Pioneer a05 burner within the next couple of weeks, but first I want to get some idea of the media and prices that are out on the market.

I keep surfing the web only to find 10pks, 20 pks, 50 pks, and so on. I'm weary about buying such a large amount of media only to find they are of cheap quality or are uncompatible or just don't work, and than have to get a refund for them which is a pain in the arse.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

i started out myself with a starter pack of Dvd+r media from http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/

it comprised of 5 discs, one of which was a RW all for around £10.

NB every single one worked for my PC and DVD player, Ritek, Traxdata, FWS & something else.

    Hope this helps

I just purchased these thru a link from Afterdawn in the U.S.. They are a plain silver top and a purplish blue on the recording side. They were called general pourpose 2x. I used them in my Pioneer A04 and they worked great. I believ by purchasing them thru Afterdawn that Afterdawn gets a little something to help support the site. I also mentioned it in the order I placed with them.

    Have a GREAT Week, Joe
