Unless the program autostarts playing music or you wrote a script, things like playing music at an automated time is nearly impossible. However, programs that auto start can be activated automatically using Task Scheduler.

Hi, give this program a try.....

    http://www.daxtar.de/download/shutdown.html

There is a shutdown command built into windows xp that you could also set, but Im not sure what OS you have.

This app works on 98, ME and XP....not tested it on any otehrs.

    Hope it helps.

Use Task Scheduler, like I said. Unless you want to put your system in standby, which then you would use Power Options. The last time I checked it was like this, but that was ages ago.

    Someone confirm this.

    Hi,
You could use the shutdown command in task-scheduler if you know what time you want to shut your pc down.

If you want to run it at different times the easiest way is to make a shortcut to the shutdown.exe command on your desktop, run it with the -i parameter, and set how long you want to listen to your music before it switches off. ie 600 = 10mins.
I dont think you can set a time for it to turn off, eg 9pm.

This should work fine for you.

    Cheers
