    Hey guys,

Just reading up on the PS2 and the Hard Drives...and was wondering...

Can you just use a small Laptop Hard Drive in an external Encloser, instead of a big bulky Standard Size hard Drive?

    Thanks

    Why Not?
    If with a USB ENCLOSURE.

there is a hard drive compatibility chart. Most IDE ATA style PC drives will work. SATA drives will not.
You really have 3 choices depending on the money you want to spend.
    1. the cheap way: get a external USB drive or internal drive plus hard drive encloser, then get USB Xtreme discs to run it. About 90% of the games i have tried work, but with USB it will be no faster than using the discs, but will save your laser life

    2. The expensive but better way: Get your Slim PSTwo put into an HD Combo case with an internal IDE hard drive. Then get HD Extreme discs to run it.

    3. Most expensive and absolute best: Get your slim PSTwo put into an HD Combo case with internal hard drive and a mod chip like DMS4 Pro SE which can run it.

Internal will give you increased loading times on your games.
