I'm very concerned about temperature on slim ps2. scph-5xxxx has large space to flow air to cool down, cooling fan. But, Slim ps2 doesn't have anything like that. It's like just squeezed in. Is it serious?

Nobody has yet to report overheating issues with those units. I wouldn't worry about it, especially while under warranty.

I do believe that the slim PS2's might overheat. I have one without a modchip and i use the swap magic disc to boot but i've been playing PSX games with the disc speed set to 'Fast' as it seems to help the laser read better. Just now i was playing Chrono Cross and the game froze. The butons on the pad wouldnt work and niether would the power/reset button! i had to pull the power cable out the machine to sort it out. I put my hand on the top of the PS2 and it waws very hot. Could it have overheated?
