after my old ps2 was stolen i just bought a new slimline ps2. i used to boot using swapmagic 3.3 and slidetool but now i need one of those magicswitch things to enable me to open the ps2 lid for discswaps. all my money is gone for the next 2 weeks and i got a stack of games i cant play :(

so does anyone know any d.i.y versions of the magicswitch? something i can make easily with things ound around the house that will enable me to open the disc cover withuot the ps2 knowing.

any ideas atall would be apreciated thanks
    :)

I know if you search around i have seen people modding it with straws and tape. I am not sure if magicswitch and a ghost switch are the same thing but i know a ghostswitch is only $7
there is also something called a slim tool & a flip top available.
    check out http://www.clearxbox.com
and http://www.ps2nfo.com who has lots of links to mod sites
My slim PSTwo has a DMS4 Pro chip so i have no need for modding or swapping so i am not very knowledgable on the subject.

thx for the advice....i have half managed to get it to swap (i have to hold down 1 of the sensors with my hand still yet) with no additional tools other than swapmagic.

it should be fully complete by tomorow all i need is a bit of superglue and a steady hand :)

if any1 wants to know how i did it then ill make a quick guide once ive got it fully working
