I just received this email from Slysoft. Althought it is not about an upgrade to AnyDVD or another of their products, it should be of interest to those who are sitting on the fence about buy or upgrading.

Does this mean that those of us who were gradfathered in
Does this mean that those of us who were grandfathered in no longer have a lifetime membership? I am not quite sure what this announcement means or to whom i applies.

    fr bernard.

As I read it the first time, I got the same impression. When I reread it, I took to mean they must be having a sale which will give you the same life time upgrades that most of us have with AnyDVD if you buy it now. But sales will end Dec31, and you will have to pay per year for upgrades as I do with DVD Fab-which are cheap- if you buy programs in 2011. JM2C

Thanks, Garmon. I read back a couple of years on the forum and they seem to have done the same thing in the past.

I'm sorry, but I wasn't able to do that. It only gave me the edit option

I used 6.8.0.8 to back up battle: Los Angeles before I noticed the new beta. But working in TRIAL mode is new. Also did you notice it added a new online database feature? Only work with Blu-ray now, but DVD is coming. Says it will help with new dvds and slow down scan times because you can access their online database to tweak the software for problem dvds. No need to wait for future betas!
