SMD

    Someone want to give me a quick run-down/explanation of the differences between the CD SMD and the DVD SMD with an example. Thanks.

    CD SMD boots cd-based ps2 games.

    DVD SMD boots dvd-based ps2 games.

    yeah i figured as much. how do i figure out what game is which. is there a big database somewhere of all the games and whether they are cd or dvd?

    Well it will say on your case and disc. But otherwise, when you put it in your computer, see how big it is, if its bigger than 700mb, it should be a dvd.

    Also, i think dvd games are silver backed, and cd games are a purple color. Not positive bout that, always forget.

    it will say on the game itself look for either the "DVD" logo or "Compact Disk" Logo. and yes the bottom of the disks will be a different color, the CD disks will have a blue bottom and the DVDs will have a silver bottom.
