I made an SNES Station CD with a few (3 or 4) roms on it, it boots, gives me the copyright, and don't distribute this with roms warning screen then the screen goes black but the music continues to play.... any ideas what I did wrong?

I'm not sure if i'm right here but...i have heard that you need like a minimum of 10 roms or something around there to play them. I never had this problem but i have a lot more then 10 roms on my disc. Hop this helps!!!

You should also make sure that there are no joypads or memory cards in port 2.

it is going black because you dont have 10 roms or you ahve nes roms instead of snes roms

yo aonaran! i had the same problem. what u gotta do is unzip ur roms and then burn them to cd. so the roms should have a '.smc' file extension

first you get the snes station download and then go into the zip file and right click and extract all it will open up 5 files a read me file and 4 others that are like

    SNES_EMU.001
    SNES_EMU.002
    SNES_EMU.003
    SYSTEM

these 4 files are the ones that you want

open up your nero or whatever program that you use to burn and select CD-ROM(ISO) or data cd for those not using nero

make sure that you have joliet checked off
and iso level 2 (max of 31 chars)
also make sure that mode 2/xa is selected
    and ISO 9660

    then click new.
When it comes to the window that you can drag your files in select the 4 that we unziped before

    SNES_EMU.001
    SNES_EMU.002
    SNES_EMU.003
    SYSTEM

also add a folder called "roms" (this is where you will put the games)

then go to windows explorer and locate your roms and extract each rom individualy (you will get new folders fore each game. The games will have a .smc extention (for example a mariocart.smc) once you have downloaded and extracted all of the games that you want you can go back over to nero and drag the .smc files that we just extracted into the "roms" folder
[bold] YOU HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST 10 ROMS IN THE ROMS FOLDER FOR THIS TO WORK [/bold]

once all of the extracted rom riles are in the roms folder that you created you are ready to burn

you can boot the emulater up just like it was a ps2 cd game

    hope this helps

ps. I get some of my roms from
http://www.coolrom.com/snesroms.php (the donkey kongs dont work from this site)

    or http://www.emulationstation.com/

    but there are a ton out there _X_X_X_X_X_[small]PS2 v7, DVR-AO5U, Magic 3.1[/small]

    Nice info man,

What in your opinion are the best 10 roms to put on the disc.

I'd say mario cart has to be one. what are best 9 others?

but you can fit like 700 roms on a disc so I never stick to 10 .

    10 is just the minimum

Do you know if there's 1 huge zip file that has ALL the roms in it?

    Would be alot easier.

i havent found any they are called rom packs but yeah it would be easier

all you need is someone with a cd to send you the image file of the whole thing including the snes station and all of the roms
