Ok, in the last month I've fallen victim to "CiD" (iexplore popups), an MSN photo album type virus (not the original photoalbum virus, but a strain of it), and now I'm having problems with my anti-virus software. I've gotten rid of the CiD problem with a friend's help. The MSN virus SEEMS to be gone, though I'm not sure exactly where it was hiding to begin with... The big problem now, whenever I right click on my Start menu, or in an explorer window, TrendMicro (my AV) starts to uninstall itself. This just started this morning. I haven't installed any funky software in the last couple of days or anything. I'm hoping this has happened to someone, 'cause it's really getting under my skin. I'll say again: When I right-click the Start menu or in explorer windows, an uninstaller wizard comes up for my TrendMicro. Please try to help me if you know something that can help, I really, really appreciate it. This has been a horrible week.
What Internet Security Suite, and Spyware scanning software are you using? What brand and model computer? WnXP? Is Windows fully updated?
