softmodded xbox retail hardrive wont work on XBOx ERROR 5AND ERROR 6, plz help!!!!!!!

i was trying to upgrade my hardrive so i tried xboxhdm , but it didntlet me so i tried configmagic, that didnt let me either

then i tried slayers 2.7 and i unlocked the hardisk successfully, and i used the xboxhdm and cloned the hardisk to a 40gb WD hardrive

then i locked the xbox hdd put it in the box and it gives me error 5

i leave it unlocked and it gives me error6
same with the 40 gb

what am i doing wrong?????

you shouldnt get error 5 if it is locked and if the drive was unlocked you get error 6 because the xbox tries to unlock but it is already unlocked. are you sure that you have the eeprom?

 

yes, i got it from hotswap

 

it wouldnt let me lock the hd it would say the drive is frozen
so i loaded the xboxhdm then i plugged in my hdd then it let me lock and unlock, thats how im getting error 5 and 6

 

look on you xboxhdm disc and see if you put the eeprom in the right place. the first time i modded i put it the wrong place and couldnt lock my drive. i just had to get it in the right folder and remake the disc and i was able to lock it.
