recently i purchased a dual layer burner(LG GSA-4163B) with the most recent firmware (A104).The burner does alright with single layer media.I have some exclusive dvd's which I want to copy 1:1(without any form of compression).I had purchased Memorex + R DL media for such a job.I am using Nero OEM which does not have a dual layer option.In reseaching of my choices, I think Nero Ultra does not burn + R format DL media.I have my movies stored on a portable 400G drive, but can not seem to be able to burn my movies onto the blank media.I have used Plextor utility CDVD Info which confirms that the burner recognizes the media as legit DL, but Nero sees it as a CD( 579 MB empty disc).What's my best option, for this job???
Wrong. Even though you have the OEM version, you can still download the Ultra update (NOT upgrade) pack, which should include your burner. Also, on the popup window where you choose what template to use for burning, select DVD from the top left dropdown box, not CD.
