Soldering on the modchip...

    ok..i have all the soldering points done except for the reverse side of the ps2(the bottom of the motherboard)...when i try to solder it on the solder doesnt stick..can anybody tell me what to do!

    the board and pads are coated. put a little flux on the pad and then hit it with your iron for a second. that should melt the coating away. then try to tin the pad / solder point before you actually solder the wire in place

    what chips are you putting in and what version ps2 are we talking about?

    get a small screw driver or some sort of bladed object and scrap the VIA (little round things) until you see the shiny copper. They are coated w/ lacker, you just have to scrape that away and they will stick fine.
