At work I bring in movies for myself and mental patients. My burned movies do not play on the dvd player. My friends do. Why would this be? Can I change my method to fix this?

Perhaps the DVD player does not accept the type of disk that you use at home.
An example might be that you use DVD+R and the one at work only likes DVD-R.

That makes sense. I always use dvd-r and while I have tried different brands I have not tried a + r. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll look into it and post back.
