    Under Memory:

And i was planing on getting:

    (2) 512MB Compaq Notebook PC2100 DDR DIMM for it, but if its stealing 64 on the first slot, how knows,, Please help me out

    Hey

The reason why its showing less ram there, is because your Graphics card is using Shared Memory.

So that 64mb you have lost, your Graphics card is using.

If you have a look at your Laptops specs, for the Graphic or Video card it will say 64mb Shared Memory.

Shared means it has to borrow some from your RAM.

    Hey

If the laptop can take 1G of Ram, go for it.

As for going back to 32mb, if you are going to put 1G of Ram, your not going to miss 64mb of it.

Its really up to you, but running off 256 i would set back to 32mb, 512mb or higher i would use 64mb

    But thats just my opinion
