I'm having a problem backing up my PS2 games for use with swap magic. It seems like it's not the way I'm booting up the games, but it must be the way i burn the games... I use DVD decryptor to rip, and Nero to burn, but when i go to load up the game on my PS2, it won't load. When I try to load up a normal game using Swap Magic, it works, so that's why I don't think it's the way I load them up.
These are the steps I use to burn the games.
    1. Use DVD decrypter to rip an image of the game,
    2. Burn the game with nero...

If I'm doing something wrong or missing a step, could you let me know?
    Thanks a lot

I've only tried a PS2 CD game so far on a memorex CD-R. I have FujiFilm DVD+R Movie Discs... that's all i have right now but I'll get whatever I need,
I'm not sure what version PS2 i have (how do I check that?),
and I have a slide card.

Thats saying you burned a dvd game

Which one is it? What game is it? How did you use the slide card? On the back of your ps2 is a model number, scph-xxxxxx, what is that number?

Oh, sorry... I did try a DVD game on a DVD-RW, but i didn't remember to mention it cause it didn't work either and I just thought it was cause it was on a RW.

The DVD game I tried was Crash Nitro Cart, and the CD game I tried was Sega Sports tennis.

But like I was saying, I tried it on a CD-R and it didn't work as well.

I'm using the slide card exactly like it is asking... it would be pretty hard not to get it right, it's quite straightforward.
    1. I put in the swipe magic disc.
    2. I let it load up,
    3. I slide out the tray like it says to,
    4. I push it back in and slide the lock back in place...
the drive does everything like the instructions says it should, and if i do it with swipe magic and put in the real ps2 game, it boots up like a charm, but my burn won't start, doing it that way.

    my number is: scph-39001/N

Sounds like you are doing it right (there are some people who can't follow those directions). You are right, rw will not work. Id try burning a dvd based game or a different cd based one than tennis.
