I want to know what's necessary to play backups of ps1 final fantasy games on ps2. i want told to use softmodding and action replay. What's soft modding and action replay? sorry, but i'm brand new to modding.

Is it possible to take all the disks from something like a final fantasty ps1 game and fit them on to one dvd and have it work properly?

    No. PS1 won't read DVDs and PS2 cannot recognise DVD's as a PS1 disc.

what about backing up a PS2 CD game to DVD. will that work? My console won't read cds right now and i've been too lazy lately to adjust it. if i just burn my cd game (gradius v) to dvd will it play? Also does the type of disc i use to backup my games matter? ie -r vs. +r
