some programs cant connect to the internet

    hi, i just got a new network card because my old one wasn't working. and now only some of my programs can connect to the internet like firefox and msn. alot of programs cannot connect, like internet explorer, maplestory, ragnarok, WoW, and itunes.

    how can i fix this?

    are they blocked by your firewall?

    I had this problem about a year ago, and posted a thread about it, from what I remember they all said it was more than likely a virus and I would have to reformat my computer.
