Someone suggest software for backing up DVDs

    Tell me why one is better than another and which ones to stay away from

    DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink are great--they are also free.

    be sure to pay attention to where the files are put.they takeup alot of space

    If you don't mind buying some software, then I would suggest AnyDVD to run in the background. You can then use the rippers and burners of your choice.

    bilbo65 is right--AnyDVD is one of the best programs that I know of--always current and it runs in the background, so any of the DVD copying and/or shrinking programs work with it. They also have a 21 day free trial which I used before I was convinced that it was worth the $$0--I suggest downloading the free trial--Have fun--

    with the new encryptions that are out,AnyDvd is a must imho.
