I wasn't sure which forum to post this question in, so I've posted it here.

It's that old codec problem with Sonic MyDVD - when I try to add windows media player files to make a dvd, I get the message "Could not make a thumbnail. Make sure you have the appropriate decoder installed. - 47010".

Does anyone know which one I need? And do I have to uninstall codecs I already have before installing any new ones? Any help would be appreciated.

    Calum.

I've managed to get MyDVD for my laptop to work. See if what I did will help you with your installation.

I downloaded what you suggested, but I know get the 47010 message for all files I try to copy, instead of some.

Sonic MyDVD is a complete waste of time. I am going to find another DVD recorder - does anyone have any suggestions?
