i just purchased a new sony dvd-cdrw. i can view the video okay, but the dvd moves slowly and the audio sounds like it is echoing digitally. any thoughts of what is going on? is this a soundcard issue?

What software are you using to play the DVD?

Does the picture get choppy or is it just consistently slow? Do you have a separate video card or are you using integrated graphics?

What make/model sound card are you using?

    Was that enough questions?

    Do you need more?

You want me to stop now?

Seriously though, we need as much info as you can give us in order to help you better :)

sorry that i didn't give you enough info......

i have a visiontek vanta video card...16 MGB
i have a hercules sound card...not sure what model
i have tried using the software that came with it by nero as well as media player and real one

i have an amd 800 mhz processor
    384 MGB Ram

my first guesses are that the video card and sound card are pathetically gifted! this is a work pc, so it isn't for gaming or anything like that. i use some dvd media for my work.

    thanks for your help!
