I have the Sony HC20 camcorder, and am having problems getting it to connect properly to my computer. I am using Windows XP. I've installed the drivers on the cd,but it only appears to connect when I go to the camera's menu, and push "Burn VCD", but even then it doesn't stay connected long enough to do anything. How do i get it to just capture via the USB connection? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Nomal DV capture is done through a firewire connecion and not a USB port. It is usually just a matter of connecting the firewire cable, turning the camera on and letting your capture program detect the camera.

Actually there was a software menu item on the camera called USB Streaming. I turned that on, and it worked. Thank you for the reply =)
