I usually use Sony DVD-R and they all work fine but I recently bought Fujifilm DVD-R and for some reason I can't burn anything to them. I tried burning them with DVDSanta (same way I did with the Sony), but it stops at 6% and kills the DVD. I then tried with Nero Burning ROM 6.0 Ultra Edition and same thing. Is there something wrong with this brand?

check those fuji - discs on this free handy program: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd-r_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm

Just click on that link, download it, insert blank media, open up dvd identifier, and click on the big question mark. You should get a code like: sony
manufacturing code 04D1 or whatever the fuji's are.

Check out the codes on both the fuji and sony.Definitely different manufacturers and therefore different quality levels.
