    I just saw that Best Buy has the same set I bought(KDS55A2000) for

    $ 2519.99.

    I bought it a CC yesterday for $2699.99. Will CC give me the difference ?

    @aabbccdd

    I went into C.C. w/ the add from best buy. You had to order it online & then pick-up in store, to get it for that price.

    Anyways C.C. still honored it. Got it for $2519.99. They gave me the difference back.

    Not bad.

    Also instead of them deliverying it on friday, there gonna deliver it on tuesday. Just in time to watch the World Series.

    Just got my TV today......( Sony KDS55A2000

    FREAK'N SWEET !! Even the wife liked it.

    Got a question though about the 2 HDMI inputs.

    1 has HDMI w/ R & L outputs.

    The other has the HDMI only w/o R & L, if I hook-up my HD cable box w/ HDI only to that one, will I still be able to get sound through it ?

    Thanks aabbccdd again.

    Man you've been very helpful the last few days.

    I currently have my OPPO DVD player hooked up to the HDMI w/ the R & L.

    As soon as I get another HDMI cable from work, I'll hook-up my
    HD cable box through the other HDMI input. I currently have it hooked up using composite cables.

    Lovin' my set so far.

    Man it is really nice that Sony put the speakers on the bottom of this set. That was the only thing that kept me from buying the 2005 model. I think that my oak cabinet will swing the 55" set. I'm gonna have to go by CC and see what kind of deals they have. The nearest BB is about 45 miles away.

    Be careful if your gonna build a cabinet around your set.......

    You don't want to block the air ventilation from the back of the set.
    If you don't have enough air flow, could cause early bulb failure.

    Here are Sony's specs, for clearance measurements...Hope this helps.

    Thanks guys for the info, I've played the CC vs BB price game a couple times.

    My cabinet issue is the width not the depth. This Sony isn't as deep as my current Toshiba 50" analog RP set. So I'm good there on the cooling aspect.

    I did make it into CC today (Sunday the 29th) and I really, really like this set. They had a 50" being fed by a DTV HD feed. Looked amazing. I made the sales guy show me all the SD channels as well. They still looked good.

    Now to convince the wife...

    I'm a little late on this part of the discussion but wanted to weigh in. I've got the 60A2000 and sit about 10 ft away. I've got to say that it is difinitely not too big for the distance. My subjective assessment is that it's just right. I had the mitsubishi wd-65732 and had to shift my eyes around the screen quite a bit so I exchanged it for the Sony. SD signals (480p)can look pretty good with the proper adjustments and high def looks great. BTW, definitely SHOP AROUND. I got mine for $2800 with free shipping, no tax, and a free upconverting DVD player. I'm sure there are even better deals to be had out there, especially with the end of the year approaching.
