    ok my mom deleted the soundcard on my comp, how can i get a new one(she did it on accident)

    is sound card built in or a card. check device manager to see if exclamation mark or unknown devices

    As well as the device manager try going to the control panel and goto the "Add Hardware" and follow it.

    In that case xp should auto detect it and ask you to install it
