    LG 52*32*52*16 combo drive (primary)
    Asus 16x +/- DVD-RW/R9 dvd writer (secondary)

My problem is when I burn a DVD with my Asus drive sound and audio is skippy on my computer. When I use my LG drive to read dvd's the sound/vid is fine. I am running DMA support on for both IDE drives. Will the computer skip no matter what becuase the burning of the dvd requires too much system resources or can I set it up diff. to make it smoother... thanks

I don't know if you could set it up any differntly but I will advise you to stop multi tasking durning optical burning sessions. Using your other optical drives while burning (unless they don't share the same ATA port) should be prohibited.

    Thats my opinion,
