    All,

I have a Senior Spacecraft Engineer asking a very specific question about Dell 755mt and the specific PCI bus. I've looked all over Dell's site and can't found an answer. So I'm hoping that someone here might be able to answer or point me to the right information. So here it goes

We need to order some (nonstandard) PCI interface cards for these to test our flight hardware.
Which PCI bus will these have?
We need to pick the right cards so that the interface spec is right.
    PCI 1.0 versus 2.1 versus 2.3?
    3.3 V versus 5 V?

I understand the some systems are reverse compatible and 5V will run 3.3V and so on. I need to find the Specific PCI Version of the system board list above. I did find this document

    http://www.digi.com/pdf/prd_msc_pcitech.pdf

sorry in advance if we’re not to post links.

If it's a desktop motherboard it will almost certainly be a 5V 32bit PCI bus.

The Dell 755MT is a new PC, so it will use the latest standards of PCI. The 5V system is no longer used mostly, so 3.3V cards are probably what you're after. However, PCI 2.1 will support both voltages. 2.3 probably will not.
