I know that when burning a dvd its best to use 1 speed to ensure you get a good copy.

But what about if im copying a dvdr to my hard drive with RecordNow Max (making a global image). Is there a best speed to use, or is it ok to select max?

an encrypted dvd, that ive previously burned and as its getting a little tatty i want to do it again. I dont want to rip it on max speed if its gonna mean the picture is jumpy, or of a lesser quality than it could be by using minimum speed.

If you mean copy of a copy on-the-fly...

    Then I usually burn original @ x1 but on-the-fly burning at x2.
