grand. it should be a 'null modem cable' that u have.
just click on the eko.4 link under my post and find 'the box '
open up software and download gtrom loader.
then open up firmware and download the version 4.5( use 451 if your in UK !!)
then from your pc open up the gtrom and put in v4.5 into it
plug the cable into your box and into your pc ( make sure box is on standby) and press download. then wait for it to say completed ( not 100%) and you should be set for scanning in the channels on your tv
Full guide on the starview link under my post...

Hi, I'm also in Lucan and am planning on picking up one of these devices. I use N-L broadband Max and have the basic N-L tv package. I am wondering, do you know if what ever is required to send the Broadband into the house can interfere with the moded starviews capabilities. I ask as two guys I work with have tried the box in both there houses, 1 has N-L digital tv package and the other has N-L broadband max but they could only get the freeview chanels. Both are tech savy but I have not spoken to them in detail, yet, about what they have tried. Thanks in advance.

starview are run from cable so if your freind has n*l cable there is now reason why he cant get all the channels !
Im not too sure about broadband though !
