    Hi
Have just got a starview box, finds channels ok [over 220] but can only get sound and audio on freeview sites. Look at another tread and turned the emu on [via parental contral 2004 ect] but has made no difference. Keep geeting thee message data is being updated gets to 10 or 30% then stops. Starts again same thing happens. Have left it on one channel for over 30 minutes just keeps repeating data being updated. Is there anyone who can help me.

Sounds like an old image, you can get a new one in the STARVIEW FILES thread.

    hi
Have updated the image from the link Starview files. I am still geeting the same problem. Tried to change the key in nagravision to the one in the readme file that came with the file, but still the same. When I return to nagravision it always shows ntl and not ex c&w and the key values have returned to what they were, even though I have press ok to store. Could this be the problem? Any advice would be helpful as I am stuck. With thanks

Ignore the keys if you are flashing the image as you won't need them.

    Hi all,
I have followed all the treads on here and the links too, have downloaded from Fekker's 3 times, and another Source twice, have followed instructions on the update, the installation and parental and code 2004 etc etc and still cannot get channels, it just stays saying 'data is being updated'
The file that I have is 'STAR VIEW_26012007_257eE_api', I am deffo on the right com port, even watch the box and can see the counter going up.
    Help....please :(

Hi hope some one can help ive been trying to update my starview box software for a few days with not much look. Brought a cable today to connect my lap top to the box via usb. got all the wright software as below but i keep getting this alarm when i go to download the update.
    Cant open serial port
Last error; the systom carnt find the file specified.
im not that hot on computers so i would apreciate any help.
ps the instructions im using are below.
The links at the bottom can be used to download
    1) Software
    2) Firmware
    3) WinZip - If you need it

    Instructions
    1) Plug in the RS232 cable into the serial port on the pc and the
other end into the back of the box.
    2) Open the software "GT Rom" and click "BIN FILE", select the new
file given called "STAR VIEW_H20070126_257eE_api". This will show up
    in the space.
    3) Switch on the box.
    4) Once you see "on" on the box or a channel number, press Download on
the program…this will load the image on to the box and will take
approximately 2mins. Once this is compete it will show you on the PC
    screen.

Wait til you get "ON" on the box, and that means you can switch off and unplug.
    That's it your done.
    Run the scan as normal,
Follow instructions for scanning if you are unsure.
This time in the EMU screen choose SET DEFAULT KEY...then turn EMU on and EXIT
