Hi all, I was messing about with my starview box after a factory reset to restore sound to s*y1 etc. and changed the s/w transfer inadvertently, now all the digital channels are scrambled, any clue how to put this right? I've checked all the other settings and they all appear correct. n?l user, west dublin.

That was fast! In the user setup menu the last option is S/W transfer, being a foolish git I hit the button to see what would happen and was given two options code s/w and chanell data. I pressed on code s/w and a box popped so I hit exit to back out. Now all I have on screen is an information box sayind "data is being updated 10%, 20% etc." I did another factory update and checked emu and codes, no joy. Help!

What version of firmware have you got on the SV is it a clone or a genuine box?

I presume it is the fixed 257 that autorolls. OK that says to me that you have flashed your SV before, if it is.

Well guess what you need to do a full factory reset.I know you said you have done a full reset, but did you go to factory settings, input your password and pressed OK. If so you should have no channels and your EMU is probably off. Try a factory reset again and autoscan, then after autoscan turn on the Key EMU and exit all the way out. If you have already tried this you may have to re-flash your SV.

s/w transfers doesn't do anything to your box its just for box to box firmware or channel transfer.

does "flash your sv" mean reinstalling the software? I think it's 257 on mine as in the system info menu it says API ver. 2.57e_E, boot ver : 7.0, 16 aug 2006. My provider ID is 5401 in nagravision and the codes are A3 86 6E EA 39 EA 09 49 and 94 40 85 78 E7 82 10 06. I haven't done any upgrade on the box and it doesn't auto update the codes, I have to do it manually when they go. I can get MJM Movies, Bubble hits and a few of the Irish channels along with Euro News. Have I got all codes right and the provider id correct? Any suggestions? Cheers.

The codes you posted are wrong , in 00 key data it should be "A9" and not A3 and in the 01 key data it sould be "9E" and not 94.

You will need to update it to 2.57-fixed for it to auto update itself and not have to put the codes in maually
