Hi, My starview box stopped working last week. Im not 100% sure what software version is on it, but it was bought before christmas so it is probably out of date. I have downloaded all the files just struggling to find the right cable. I bought an RS232 serial cable from Maplin for a tenner. 25 pin to 9 pin. I then read that this wont work, and that i need a NULL MODEM CABLE which maplin sell. I found one on maplin, but it is a female plug. So there are only holes on the plug, and there are holes on the back of my computer plug bit (NOT THE ACTUAL PINS ON EITHER MY COMP, NOR THE CABLE). So obviously they arent going to plug together. What should i buy? Any help appreciated its driving me mad.
