Starview equivalent

    Wodnerign if there was a starview equivalent for sky?

    as far as I know. no. SKY's system cant be hacked by another box, becuase your using a dish which is solely dedicated to you, you have to pay for the service or its switched off, where as the starview works on cable and it decodes the same signal which eveyones gets.

    well if you're recieving the standard sky package anyway, is there a box that'll decode the rest of the stations for you, or does the sky box work such that it only sends the say sky sports signal to you when you subscribe to sky sports while still maintaining the others?

    nope, as Skys encryption cant be cracked as of yet. no other box works on their system. I can stand corrected on this.

    So for Sky, its pay and display, its a totally different beast to cable box's and encryption
