Hi. I'm another first timer and my box went off on sunday. Followed the great advice from the helpful people on the thread: Factory reset then rescan then EMU on. Worked a treat, all channels back on but in no particular order. Tried re-ordering but can't get them back to how they were ie BBC1 = 01, BBC2 = 02 and so on. Know its only a small thing but would appreciate any solutions. Thanks.

    Hi ya
Roughly how long does the software take to download to the box as this one has been sitting at 0% for about 20 mins now.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your help last time. Just reading through eveyones comments and, although this might be a dumb question, but am i suppose to keep my suppliers box (TW) on at same time as the starview? No one mentioned anything about it when i got the box!

Software should take 2mins max. If I was you I would start again. Are you using the right lead? Have you installed software before?

No you dont need to keep suppliers box switched on!

I haven't been able to get my box going but I think thats beause I either stuffed the flash thingie or it was stuffed when I got it. However if you email me I will send you the guide on setting up the box. I found it on the forum but if you can't be bothered to search just mail me putting starview guide in the subject

you dont have to have the suppliers box on but apparently they will know you are not watching there box (if they bother to check). Many people here use splitters. I'venver been a customer but the feed has been in my flat since i moved in.

Sorry i know this is a thread from a while ago but i've just read it and have a query. I've disconnected my N*L box and unsubscribed from N*L and still receiving all the channels. Will the CC still be able to tell what I am watching? Will the SV box talk back to the CC? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Fekker, I have read pages of Starview problems from all. Without your help I think we would all be watching the box in black & white!

You are a STAR man... excuse the pun!!
Please show your gratitude to Fekker for all his time and effort and post a thanx to this thread.. you never know when you Startview box will go off again and you need that great man FEKKER.

    Thanks again Fekker.

1163 people have downloaded the Starview update so far, what I would like to ask of Starview owners is would they like to save the .BIN file and upload it to Techno-Source as we are trying to get a database for the regions the same way as there are service files for the DBox.

    Thanks.

You need to do a factory reset, set provider, scan, set emu on, voila!!
