Was it a clone or genuine box. Click the link at the end of my post entitled SV EV Info to find out. What version did you flash to the Starview?

rite after checking that out its an original )

Just checked it again as ive left it powered up

Did the auto search it starts got to 8% picture didnt break up then got stuck and rebooted its self ?

Its got 400eE_api.bin on it when it messed up it had 300eE

would it be worth trying an older FW ?

Try a reflash except this time do a factory reset first, then turn off the SV from the back switch for a minute. Power it back up and then put it into standby and reflash with version 4 again.

Tuner problem would not cause a reboot, maybe go down the jtag road. If it is a hardware problem more than likely it will be the psu have a look at that and see if there are any caps blown.

its also got 18 vents on the top so is it a clone as the rest of the things make it out to be original ?

Genuine or clone either way a jtag will bring it back to life.

Could be a number of problems hence why I said you have nothing to loose by jtagging it.

If you are in Ireland Ferg is doing them probably for around the same cost as you actually buying all the kit and putting all your time into it.

Lots of good boxes. But for a non linux one I would say the Eurovox make sure it is flashed with the September update though. Beats the Starview hands down.
