starview pvr hdd problem

I left the kids to watch programs on my pvr box and somehow they managed to do something to delete the hdd with the message being no hdd installed. Any help please.

Seems like the only way is to re format the H/D. Might be worth flashing new firmware back in first in case data is still on H/D.
Back up your channel list first. Or take H/D out and connect to PC to see if empty. Just a few suggestions

how do i flash new firmware ie with the disk that was provide or some other method?

Go to the link below on this site and download the latest firmware for your box,(E_Ver 4.500 6th July 2007) read the Readme/Documents and Help files until you are confident on how to flash it first.
