starview the box 2 cant download sw

just received new box tried to download software gtrom 4 but it is saying 'error model name does not correct' i have saved file to pc tried to download to the box it is a starview original

 

Gtrom 4 is the loader not the firmware, you need this to upload the firmware. You need version 4.50 for Ireland or 4.51 for the UK.

Download the Starview PDF Guide from the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library. This will show you how to flash your box.

 

thanks for the response i need ver 4.50 for Ireland, wi give it a try

 

i downloaded software but when i did a automatic scan it froze had to reboot also all channels failed during auto scan any ideas why ?? how can i be sure i have downloaded ver 4.50 for ireland any help would be appreciated

have box working but most stations are just black no picture no sound just info box have afew working ok any ideas please

 

Try this

Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

English > Installation
Choose N*L etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
176 Channels found
Exit

Menu 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit
