    Try s different download of the gt rom loader and the 2.57 fixed bin file and see if that works , another thing , you could have a serial modem cable instead of the NULL Modem cable

    Thanks you again just tried from your links but same thing failed flash

    Takes like 2minutes and then says failed?

    i have and input signal also to the and ANT

    and its also set to 115200 so this must be something else either very simple or the clone is just not having it?

    Seems like you are clicking upload in Gtromloader when you should be clicking download for the bin file flash.

    I know this might sound silly , have you turned the power on and put the SV on standby

    Hi,

    Celtic

    Yes i plugged in box left on standby e.g no channels but clock.

    I have a signal into the box also.

    It does seem weird and i am still open to obvious problems, which i might be overseeing, but every time someone suggests something it seems i have already tried it???????

    Thank you for your continued support.

    Is this a Starview 1 and has it always been working and you are just trying to update it? Is it a clone or genuine box?

    Here is what i a ding in sequence if you can spot any mistakes in my approach please say.

    * Plug SV box in leave on standby (with n channels listed).

    * Plug my Serial Null Modem Female 9 pin cable into cloned SV box

    * Plug live signal into the ANT both tried with and without.

    * Turn on pc load GTloader an locate bin file from HD in this case 257 fixed tried several different bins. With Serial null cable in pc.

    * Select comm port 1 only available one on MY PC

    * Select Baud rate 115200

    * Click 'Download' pauses for a minute nothing loads.

    * Flash Failed.

    When you say you have plugged feed into ANT you should be plugging it into cable in. This will not affect the firmware upgrade. But do you have an aerial/dish feed or a true cable feed.

    What are your area and provider details.
