    Hello,
when i boot my machine up i strange artifacts on the screen, sort of
weird groups of pixels, different coloured pixels, they will dissapear
if i refresh the screen but comeback soon after. they randomly come and go but occasionally will cover the whole screen, I think its a faulty
    graphics card.
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Thankyou very much!
    Phil

is it only during boot up or do you get these artifacts during windows/games too?

from the little info you have given it sounds like the graphics card is getting too hot. if its only happening during boot up/post and its cool at this time i wouldnt be too concerned, if its happening all the time i would be more so.

some more info could help us figure out the root of the problem, such as g card type, mother board type, cpu, psu rating that kind of thing.
