Stranger Than Fiction is one of those Columbia/Sony movies.
Latest Versions of ANYDVD and CloneDVD did the trick for me.

My method in my signature worked as usual. No problems here!

Is it the normal new Sony encryption errors?

Shrink with Any DVD won't work. DVD Fab Platinum had some issues also. Nero recode with Any DVD won't work either.

Clone DVD with Any DVD does work. Latest version of Ripit4me (1.7.0.0)works also with Shrink and DVD Decrypter. after some slight changes like raising the limit of output Vob to 300 etc.

Dvd shrink wouldn't even recognize my copy. I had to use Nero Recode2,[bold]main movie only[/bold],along with anydvd 6.1.2.5

Nearly the same encryption as Saw3,grudge2,and open season.

ripit4me, running the files thru fixvts/shrink/imgburn did this one easy. ripit4me took about one hour but, it gave me very clean files.

i've resolved the problem i think. found on a different forum that the drive itself is most likely bad. told my friend to call dell. not sure what they said yet. thanks for the comments.

It might not be the drive because other people have been haveing problems reading the new sony movies.
