    Hey guys,

I've been doing a little research on this but I haven't found a definite answer. So here we go...

I'm going to buy a smart TV and I'm not 100% set on the manufacturer yet. What I would like to be able to do is stream videos (mp4, avi, mov, ect.) from my shared network folder directly to the TV. What are the best TV manufacturers to do this with if it is possible? If not possible, what is the best way to play videos from my PC to my TV.

Depends whether tv has function to see network folders wherever they are

As for play direct from pc you have option of hdmi cable or some sort of intermediary device that can perhaps receive wifi signal from pc.Easiest option is hdmi from pc this can be laptop if you have one, unless the tv can see an external hard drive connected to a modem/router

keep in mind not all your vids maybe able to be played by the tv if the video codecs used aren't supported if you direct play from an external hdd
