   i have a copy of the movie hidalgo and tried backing it up using any dvd, and clone dvd. the movie turned out fine but the subtitles did not show up when a foreign language was spoken in the movie. are ther any settings in clone dvd that will show the subtitles?

   Yea ... you have to check the box for english subtitles. Same for Shrink.
